Welcome to our web site, both of us hope all who visit enjoy it.
Ruthe and Stephen P Jackson
We are located in Bandon which is the 'Gateway to the West Cork' region of Ireland. Bandon, in Irish Droichead na Bandan (the Bridge at Bandon), lies on the River Bandon between two hills. The town of Bandon was created in 1604 and our family moved there in 1998. The kennel name 'CluainUltaigh' came from our house name and when we decided to have a kennel name it was the natural choice for new breeders of these wonderful little dogs. Please look around the site and if you like what you see please leave a comment.
The Shetland Sheepdog is also known as the 'Sheltie' and as the name suggests originated from the Shetland Isles in Scotland. The Sheltie is a loyal and affectionate breed of dog; they are very intelligent and extremely willing to learn new tricks.
We breed our own puppies which are suitable for both the show ring and as household pets.
